This incredible ministry also liaises with the Parish Priest to schedule mass timings, which also includes organising Rosary recitations, Benedictions, Novena devotions and etc.

The Altar Servers are an integral part of the celebration of the Holy Mass. They are lay assistants to the priest and support altar-related tasks such as ringing the altar bell, fetching the incense, and etc. Being an alter server is a call to prayer and mission, and it is a privileged way to draw closer to Jesus.

Catholic Ministry for the Deaf (CMfD)

This outstanding ministry provides loving care and support to the differently-abled, specifically the hearing impaired through faith development and formation. Presently, much of their work is centred on the hearing impaired. The ministry has its own pool of dedicated interpreters who tend to provide interpreting services during the liturgical celebrations on Sundays at 8:00 a.m. To meet them, just head-on towards the front pew of the church during this time that’s facing the Marian icon of Our Lady of Perpetual Help. The Catholic Ministry for the Deaf (CMfD) programme also includes identifying hearing impaired Catholics in the diocese, recruiting volunteers and training interpreters.

These literary proclaimers of the word of God are specially tasked to read biblical text other than the Gospel. When Sacred Scriptures are read in church, God himself speaks to His people, and Christ, is present in His Word. This task is an honour. All interested/new lectors must receive training which usually takes place on Tuesdays at 8 p.m.
